I helped people celebrate life’s moments—now I help them build their future.
From Humble Beginnings to Limitless Possibilities: My Story
Connection has always been at the heart of everything I do. It’s the thread that’s guided my choices, inspired my work, and fueled my desire to serve others in meaningful ways. Yet, as a teenager, I never imagined that real estate would be the path that allowed me to connect so deeply and profoundly with people.
I come from humble beginnings. At 14, I started working in restaurants and continued through high school. I was fascinated by the human mind—how we think, why we behave the way we do—so naturally, I pursued a degree in psychology. But college wasn’t what I hoped it would be. I struggled to connect with the academic structure and felt uninspired by writing research papers. Eventually, I made the difficult decision to step away and return to work—this time, in a jewelry store.
To my surprise, I thrived there. I began in sales and moved into management, but it was never just about jewelry. Every piece told a story. Clients would open up about engagements, anniversaries, and life milestones, and I had the privilege of witnessing these emotional, joyful moments. It was in those conversations that I realized how much I valued genuine connection and service.
Still, I felt a pull toward something bigger—something beyond the confines of four walls. A friend, who was a REALTOR®, encouraged me to get my license. I was intrigued. Real estate had always fascinated me, especially because my family never owned a home. I grew up in poverty, not knowing if we’d have water or electricity from one month to the next. Homeownership felt like an impossible dream—but one I was determined to realize.
In 2015, I took the leap and got my real estate license. It was equal parts terrifying and exhilarating! But I knew I had found my calling. Helping people make one of the most significant financial—and emotional—decisions of their lives was exactly the kind of impact I wanted to make. At 24, I bought my first home. That moment felt surreal. For someone who once believed homeownership was out of reach, signing those papers was life changing. Since then, I’ve purchased five homes and, more importantly, broken the cycle of poverty I was born into. That, to me, is the ultimate victory.
Of course, the road hasn’t always been smooth. Real estate is a rollercoaster—some years are phenomenal, others more challenging. And my personal life has had its own share of ups and downs. I’ve been engaged three times, and rebuilding myself after heartbreak wasn’t easy. But I was never alone. I’ve been surrounded by friends who became family—people who stood by me when I needed it most.
In 2021, I met Matthew—my partner in every sense of the word. He’s ambitious, driven, and incredibly supportive. We each have our own visions for life, and we challenge and inspire each other to reach higher. Our relationship is grounded in mutual respect and shared goals, and I’m endlessly grateful for his presence in my life.
Outside of work, Matthew and I love exploring the mountains, tending to lots of plants, and taking spontaneous road trips. I’m a history buff, so I get excited about discovering new places, admiring their architecture, and learning the stories behind them. I also love to read—especially psychological thrillers and historical re-tellings—and spending time in our garden. Our dog, Hamilton, and two cats, Boone & Milo, keep things lively and bring so much joy to our home!
Giving back is a cornerstone of my life. I’m proud to support the local children’s hospital that serves kids with cancer, contribute to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital, support the Human Rights Campaign, and be an active Founding Member of the national LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance.
When I reflect on how far I’ve come, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. What once felt impossible now feels limitless. Every challenge I’ve faced has taught me resilience and reinforced one powerful truth: when I set my mind to something, I make it happen.
Real Estate with Heart, Strategy, and Purpose
I believe a home should spark something deeply emotional—a sense of joy, comfort, and possibility. After all, it’s more than just a structure; it’s where your life unfolds. That’s why I love helping my clients find a home that excites them emotionally while also meeting their financial and practical goals.
As a relationship-driven REALTOR®, I’m here to advocate for you—both emotionally and financially. Whether you're buying your first home or selling a property you’ve outgrown, I offer steady guidance, clear communication, and unwavering support from start to finish.
For my sellers, I focus on maximizing value by strategically staging the home and creating an experience that helps potential buyers truly see themselves in the space. I also partner with a trusted team of local vendors to handle anything that might arise along the way—so nothing falls through the cracks.
At the heart of everything I do is genuine care. This isn’t just about closing transactions—it’s about building lasting relationships. Life can be uncertain, and we all need people we can count on. Real estate is my way of showing up for others—offering real support, creating real connections, and making the process feel less overwhelming and more empowering.
Sincerely,
Ely Murray-Quick
